Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is the gold standard in treatment for therapy resistant behaviors. Pairing DBT Skill building along with Neurofeedback creates rapid and meaningful change.

I am excited to have completed research on trauma treatment and trauma resolution. Discovering how individuals resolve trauma in therapy has helped me to understand why some clients struggle to improve. Many therapists avoid tough topics around trauma and dismiss memories as, "That's just the past, you can move on to today." This may not be true. Sometimes things happen that cause us to be stuck in the past and not be able to move on. At times it is a big trauma like abuse or violence while other times it is an emotional issue or event that causes discomfort. These feelings create a "glitch" in our thinking patterns and it becomes really hard to change without trauma resolution. Treating hard to change behaviors requires more than just talking. Learning new skills, creating a balance in brain functioning and resolving past issue creates lasting change.

  • Adults Skills Training Group: We learn about interpersonal effectiveness, emotional regulation, distress tolerance and mindfulness. We work on responses to stressful situations and learn to manage them differently. The groups meet for five weeks for each modules in five different sessions, so you can come and go as you like to the modules. We have a lot of fun, laughs, and most of al l accomplish a lot! We hold each other accountable to our goals!
